TEAM WORKSHOP · FULL DAY

You have a team. Let's help them become one team.

Connect, Inspire, Grow: For Teams

A full-day, facilitated workshop — grounded in a science-based team assessment — that turns your team's data into a shared plan they actually own. Built for team leaders who can feel something's off in their own team, and the HR partners who want more than another offsite.

Is This Your Team?

Meetings are polite; decisions happen in side conversations, with everyone except the person who could actually act on it.

Your team is either driven and results-focused with thin trust, or warm and collegial but slow to execute. Rarely both at once.

Everyone's protecting their own piece of the outcome. The team's overall success isn't quite anyone's top priority.

New hires never seem to fully integrate, no matter how good the onboarding process is.

You're the HR or Business partner who's responsible for the offsite. This time you want something with real data behind it: a before-and-after, not just a team-building day.

It's your name attached to this team's results, and lately you're spending more time managing around problems than actually leading, smoothing things over instead of naming what's really going on.

The real gap

A team can hit every KPI and still be stuck at the transactional or strategic level of relationship, never reaching the human one, where people actually trust each other enough to disagree, cover for each other, and pull in the same direction without being asked.

Most teams land in one of two uncomfortable places: driven and productive but running on weak trust, or warm and collegial but struggling to actually get things done. This shows up often in distributed and hybrid teams, in teams merged through acquisition or restructuring, in teams spanning generations or functions. Differences in culture, location, or tenure get blamed for what's actually a trust gap that was never deliberately closed, and never actually measured.

If you're the one leading the team, this lands on you personally; you're the one expected to have already fixed it, and 'give it more time' starts to feel like avoidance dressed up as patience.

Left alone, it doesn't resolve — it just gets quietly more expensive, in turnover, in slow decisions, in people doing the minimum asked of them. None of that gets fixed by another team meeting. It gets fixed by making the gap visible, then closing it deliberately, together, starting here.

Results don't build trust on their own. Trust is what makes strong results repeatable.

The workshop

The premise behind this workshop is simple: results don't build trust on their own. Trust is what makes strong results repeatable, and it's built in a specific, learnable sequence, the same way any other skill is.

The AIIR Team Effectiveness Model: a grid of team culture against team productivity, with Driven, High Performing, Frozen and Comfortable teams

Two to three weeks before the workshop, every participant completes the AIIR Team Effectiveness Survey®, a 15-minute, science-backed assessment of your team's culture (trust and safety, cohesion, dialogue) and productivity (alignment, execution, learning and adapting). The workshop starts with your team's results already on the table, so the day is built around your team's actual data, not a generic agenda.

Driven teamRunning hard on weak trust.
High-performing teamStrong on both, looking to go further.
Frozen teamStuck on both culture and productivity.
Comfortable teamWarm and collegial, struggles to execute.

How the day runs

The workshop itself is a single full day (approximately 9am–5pm), run live and in person with your team, compressing a three-phase process connect, inspire, grow into one focused, facilitated day.

9:00 to 10:30
Connect I

We start by unveiling your team's Team Effectiveness Survey results together — where you land on the grid, and what the data actually says about trust, cohesion, and dialogue. Then the team surfaces, out loud and with facilitation, what they each need to feel seen, respected, and able to grow.

10:30 to 10:45
Break

10:45 to 12:15
Connect II

Structured pair and small-group conversations surface where trust is already strong and where it's quietly missing, without singling anyone out.

12:15 to 1:15
Lunch

1:15 to 2:45
Inspire I

I reflect back the patterns the team can't see from inside it — where they agree more than they realize, and where the real friction is — using a structured team coaching process built for exactly this moment.

2:45 to 3:00
Break

3:00 to 4:15
Inspire II to Grow

The team co-builds one shared vision and translates it into a concrete plan they own: a set of commitments with names attached.

4:15 to 5:00
Close

Each person leaves with one specific commitment. The group agrees on how they'll hold each other accountable.

One full day, approximately 9am to 5pm, run live and in person with your team.

Four people smiling and talking at a table.

Where this comes from

I'm the founder of GLTD, based in Dubai, and the Amazon-bestselling author of Connect, Inspire, Grow. Over the last 25 years, I've led teams in the Netherlands, Shanghai, Germany, and Hong Kong, coaching leaders and teams globally at organizations including The Coca-Cola Company, PwC, Standard Chartered, Boskalis, and Danone. I pair this work with the AIIR Team Effectiveness Survey®, a validated instrument that gives us real, measurable data on team culture and productivity. This workshop draws on the major challenges teams run into when trust hasn't kept pace with change.

FAQ

What if my team can't gather in person for a full day?

A virtual 3-part series covering Connect, Inspire, and Grow separately is available on request, useful for distributed teams that can't gather in one place for a full day.

How many people can attend?

This works best for intact teams of 3 to 12 people.

Does my team need to be at a certain stage of development for this to work?

No — this approach works effectively at any phase of Tuckman's model, whether your team is forming, storming, norming, or performing. Because the workshop diagnoses your team's current state, uncovers blind spots, and provides a roadmap for growth, it helps accelerate a team no matter where they are in their lifecycle.

What does the investment cover, and what doesn't it?

The investment covers facilitation, all workshop materials, and the Team Effectiveness Survey for your team. It doesn't include venue hire, travel and accommodation, or meals for the day. We'll give you a clear estimate once we know where the workshop will be held.

Does everyone need to complete the survey beforehand?

Yes. It only takes about 15 minutes per person, and full participation is what makes the Team Effectiveness Survey results accurate. Partial completion still works, but the picture we start the day with will be less complete.

Are individual survey responses confidential?

Yes. Results are reported at the team level only. No individual's answers are shared or attributed. What the team sees together on workshop day is the aggregate picture.
